Proclamation No. 1070 specifies that Friday, 17 July 2015 was declared as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Fitr (Feast of Ramadhan). Eid’l Fitr is celebrated by the Muslim world for three (3) days after the end of the month of fasting. The observance seeks to encourage the Filipino nation to join our Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the celebration of Eid’l Fitr, the Feast of Ramadhan. It is also stated on the proclamation that the entire Filipino nation should have the full opportunity to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr.
