                San Andres, a coastal municipality and the second largest town of the province of Catanduanes, is situated 18 kilometers northwest of Virac, the capital town of the province. San Andres is bounded on the north by the municipality of Caramoran; on its eastern portion by the municipality of Virac; on the northwest by the Maqueda Channel; and on the south and southwest portion, by the Lagonoy Gulf, separating the island province from the mainland of Bicol Region at an average of 40 miles.
